The first picture is of me and our dog, Zelda, with my “monkeys” that I keep next to my bed to remind me of my daughter Carrie. It was taken in my living room in California. The next picture is of me in an ancient Egyptian library in the Temple of Horus. The last picture is of me, Alida, and my mother in Gerash (Gerousia), Jordon.

 

Gerash is one of the most amazing Roman period archaeological sites in the world. You really get a sense of the size, scope, and character of an ancient Roman city.
